Many of us put off thinking about writing a Will, choosing to believe that there is plenty of time to do so. So, what happens if this is not the case?

Despite all our procrastinations, superstitions and anxieties behind creating a Will, the current pandemic has meant that there has never been a more important time to put your affairs in order.

No one can predict when the need for a Will might be called into play but it’s pretty good odds that the families of those who don’t have an up-to-date Will in place will face problems. Dying intestate (passing away without a Will) means that your estate will be distributed according to the laws of intestacy and could even mean that those you would have wanted to benefit actually don’t!

The fact of the matter is, if you have any kind of asset, be it life cover, pension, property or savings, writing a Will isn’t something that you should put off until another day.
